Denzel Washington, international movie star and homesick former stage actor, has announced that he will be the latest Hollywood celebrity to take on Broadway, this time in Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar."
Mr. Washington, 49, will portray Brutus in a production due to begin rehearsals in late January. Daniel Sullivan (a Tony Award winner for "Proof") will direct an adaptation that is set in the near future. Previews are tentatively scheduled to begin at the Belasco Theater in early March, with an opening in April.
